Robert P. Murphy
Chief Executive Officer and President

Robert P. Murphy is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Rooster Energy Ltd. and its subsidiaries. Mr. Murphy has over 25 years of experience in exploration and development operations in the Gulf of Mexico, both shallow and deep water. Prior to joining Rooster, Mr. Murphy served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Helix Oil & Gas Inc. (NYSE: HLX) from July 2006 to March 2010, managing over 100 professionals and field personnel. In 1998, Mr. Murphy joined Remington Oil & Gas and became Director, President and Chief Operating Officer. Under his direction, Remington discovered gross reserves of 1.1 trillion cubic feet equivalent and registered an exploratory success of 76%, including 5 deepwater discoveries. Remington Oil & Gas was sold in 2006 for $1.4 billion to Helix Oil & Gas Inc. From August 1990 to January 1998, Mr. Murphy served as Vice President – Exploration and Director of Cairn Energy USA Inc. Under the direction of Mr. Murphy, Cairn Energy USA was transformed from a non-operating subsidiary of a United Kingdom company into a Gulf of Mexico operating company with 12,500+ boe/d of production and a professional staff of 20. Cairn Energy USA’s share price rose from $0.99 in 1993 to $13.50 when it was sold to Texas Meridian Resources Inc. in 1997. Mr. Murphy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Geosciences from The University of Texas at Dallas.


Tod Darcey
Senior Vice President – Operations

Tod Darcey is the Senior Vice President – Operations of Rooster Energy Ltd. Mr. Darcey has served on the management team of Rooster Energy, L.L.C. and its subsidiaries since inception and he is in charge of daily operations. Mr. Darcey has over 16 years of operations management experience in all phases of offshore production, construction and drilling. Mr. Darcey has held several management positions of increasing responsibility at Chet Morrison Contractors LLC, J. Ray McDermott, Inc., Offshore Pipelines, Inc. and the APMC Division of Maersk Drilling. Mr. Darcey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and an Associate’s degree in Safety from Nicholls State University.


Kenneth F. Tamplain, Jr.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Kenneth F. Tamplain, Jr. is the Senior Vice President, General Councel and Secretary of Rooster. Mr. Tamplain has served on the management team and as general counsel of Rooster Energy, L.L.C. and its subsidiaries since early 2007. Prior to joining Rooster, for over 15 years Mr. Tamplain was a member of the U.S. regional law firm of Adams and Reese, LLP. Mr. Tamplain has extensive experience in the development, finance, restructuring, purchasing and selling of energy assets and related projects as well as in the areas of bankruptcy, creditor rights, corporate transactions and corporate governance. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Tamplain was an independent Petroleum Landman for over 7 years, involved in all phases of oil and gas leasing, title examination and the development and sale of producing and non-producing properties. Mr. Tamplain is licensed to practice law in Louisiana, Michigan (inactive) and is a member of various professional associations including the American Association of Petroleum Landmen. Mr. Tamplain holds a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Nicholls State University.


James Shockney
Chief Financial Officer

James Shockney is Chief Financial Officer of Rooster. Mr. Shockney has served on the management team of Rooser Energy, L.L.C. and its subsidiaries since 2007 and has over 26 years of accounting experience primarily in the exploration and production segment of the oil and gas industry. Mr. Shockney has held similar positions at Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation and Castex Energy, Inc. Mr. Shockney’s experience includes all facets of accounting from internal audit, joint interest, budgeting and planning, financial reporting, and risk management as well as responsibilities for banking relations, human resources and information systems. Mr. Shockney holds memberships in the AICPA, the Texas Board of Public Accountancy (state and local), the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society, and the Petroleum Accountants Society of Houston. Mr. Shockney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University, and a Master of Business Administration from St. Thomas University and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Management

Robert Lovell
Petroleum Engineer

Robert Lovell is the Vice President – Drilling of Rooster Petroleum, L.L.C. Mr. Lovell recently jointed Rooster after working for various private and public exploration and production companies including Energy Resource Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of Helix Oil & Gas, Inc. (NYSE:HLX). He is a Petroleum Engineer with over 30 years of drilling and completions experience in the Gulf of Mexico and North Sea. Mr. Lovell holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.


David A. Rudolph
Petroleum Engineer

David Rudolph is the Manager – Completions/Production for Rooster Petroleum, L.L.C. He has over 30 years of production and operations experience in almost every major domestic producing basin including the Gulf of Mexico. He has worked for both public and private companies with responsibility for well planning, completions designs implementation, field/reservoir studies and cost control. Mr. Rudolph holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and a Masters of Science, Environmental Science from Ohio State University.
